The Harris County Constable's Office Precinct 5 Training Division is dedicated to providing quality continuing education to our deputies, as well as other law enforcement agencies, that goes well above the state mandated requirements.
The Training Division is responsible for the development and instruction of mandated and specialized training, as well as maintaining the integrity and standardization of these training programs.
Under the guidance of the Training Lieutenant, the division works diligently to raise the standards of training, increase officer safety, and maintain the standards of professionalism and integrity of the law enforcement community.
Preparing officers to deal with every situation imaginable is no easy task, but the Precinct 5 Training Division strives to do just that. By developing top tier training courses, they are armed to face the ever changing demands of law enforcement and are better able to serve the community with distinction.

Higher Training Standards
Precinct 5 has always maintained training standards higher than those required by the state, but since January of 2017 it has been kicked into overdrive.
With the creation of several new divisions, Precinct 5 has gone to great lengths to provide the very best training available in these new areas.
Leadership Development
The department has put all of its supervisors, Sergeant and above, through leadership development courses that are usually reserved for Senior Command staff members only.
This commitment helps ensure that Precinct 5 supervisors are prepared to lead their personnel and maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
TCOLE Accredited Training
Professional Training
Part of our commitment to serving the public is that we ensure our deputies are among the highest trained peace officers in any agency.
TCOLE Reporting Agency
In late 2019 the Precinct 5 Constable's Office achieved status as a reporting agency for TCOLE (Texas Commission of Law Enforcement) courses.
This allows our Training Division to conduct courses for both inner and outer agencies and report those courses to TCOLE for accreditation.
